Just got to work... Up until 2 a.m. watching all the post-game interviews/NBA Finals Press Conferences. Surreal to me b/c during my sports reporter days I met Ethan Skolnick (Palm Beach Post) he used to write for the Sun-Sentinel and Tom D'Angelo and others I met asking questions to LBJ and Dwayne Wade. That's really neat that the county changed the name officially to MIAMI-WADE County, I thought that was classy... And the Birdman, every other team gave up on the Birdman because he's had his personal issues, Miami signs him to 10-day contract and the guy becomes the missing glue in the Championship puzzle. Most of all I want to share the definition of team last night in terms of those Heaters... Team - Where you win a game with 12 players on the team but only five of those players score all 95 points. Bosh, Miller and Allen (star of game 6, courtesy of hitting !Canasta de tres puntos!) combined to score no points and go 0-14 last night. But, if you watched the game, Bosh wouldn't allow Tony Parker or Tim Duncan to drive the lane, Miller played tenacious defense and Ray Allen moved the ball, played shut-down defense and provided a bit of offensive flow. Spurs coach Greg Popavich said that LBJ and D-Wade played Hall of Fame basketball last night and what can you say about Shane Battier setting an NBA Finals game record with six-three-pointers. King James said it best: "this team is just amazing." Happy for Pat Riley, all the Heat players, and one last thing about team - the Miami Heat shut down Danny Green last night, all-time leader in three-pointers made in an NBA Finals. They shut down Parker and Battier covered Duncan when he missed with 20 seconds left. First-Class Heat!

The Greatest NBA Game Ever! Miami Heat win in overtime 103-100 against San Antonio Spurs in Game 6 of 2013 NBA Finals!

Very tired from watching the greatest basketball game ever last night. San Antonio Spurs up by four points with 28 seconds left and their best free throw shooter at the free throw line. Security comes in and puts a yellow rope around the court to stop fans from running on the court because evidently these fools thought San Antonio would win the championship in 30 seconds... The gold trophy is wheeled over near the Spurs bench surrounded by guards, and there's actually a guy polishing that big old gold basketball trophy... Manu Ginobli misses first free throw, makes second and then Miami scores quickly ala LBJ (Lebron James) misses a three pointer, Mike Miller tips out the ball and Lebron hits the seond attempt another three pointer. Referrees who decided their Las Vegas payoff was more important than calling the game fairly have the nerve to call another foul on Miami and Kwahi Leonard, another Spurs great free throw shooter, goes to the free throw line. He misses the first one and Miami is down by three. Heat down the court and miss a three, then one of the big three (Chris "I look like a Raptor dinosaur and play as fierce as one" Bosh) gets the rebound and passes it out to Ray Allen, who actually has the know how to get his feet behind the three point line and jumps three feet in the air, releasing the most beautiful 22-foot jump shot in the history of the game of basketball and swoosh... Tied at 95-95! Five seconds left and Spurs get the ball and Ginobli takes four steps in Miami's lane without jumping (throughout the world that is called traveling and the other team, Miami in this case gets the ball) and the referrees must have had silly putty stuck in their whistles because the whistle isn't blown. Miracously Ray Allen comes up with the ball and Miami survives to overtime. In overtime, again San Antonio is up by three and looking for more when Bosh blocks a Tony Parker three pointer and with Miami finally up three points and San Antonio Spurs needing a three pointer, they get it to their best three-point shooter this guy Danny Green who happens to be the all-time leader in three pointers made in an NBA Finals courtesy of all the three's (I believe 26 three pointers in just six games) he's hit against the Heat in these finals, Green gets the ball on a corner three point attempt and I'm not kidding when I say Bosh flapped those Raptor Dinosaur wings and came out of nowhere to block Green's shot and the Heat win 103-100. Earvin "Magic" Johnson, the great L.A. Lakers point guard called the game one of the greatest he's seen. I'm calling it the greatest I've seen.

Just What If The Stars of The 2013 NBA Finals Were “Grunge Era” Band Leaders

If San Antonio Spurs monster power forward Tim Duncan were a guitarist leader of a “Grunge” era band he’d remind me of Billy Corgan from the Smashing Pumpkins. That bald head and scruff, so tall yet with the head just barely titled toward the ground. Add that demeaning meanor… and he’s definitely the front-man for the Smashing Pumpkins. If Duncan shreds like Billy Corgan does on guitar in two out of the next three games San Antonio will be singing along with Duncan ala Billy Corgan to “Today! Is the greatest! Day I ever saw… Can’t wait for tomorrow! Tomorrow’s much too long!”

My hypothesis is the Heat Win Game Four

If the Miami Heat were to win tonight, Games One and Three, will be wiped away. A win gives the Heat a brand new series. What will happen? It's a guess... But hypothesis would be that the Heat will somehow find a way to win and the reason why is an educated guess. And that educated guess, is that the Heat will play much better in Game Four. Common! Danny Green is the leading scorer in the series. Bull mularkey! It will not be a fresh face... The reason why Miami plays well in Game Four is that they're the best road team in the NBA win percentage wise on the road. It won't be easy... Miami bench too much in Game Three

As much as it would be the right thing to do in making the guesswork a San Antonio Spurs blowout... Manu Ginobli will be back in Game Three, Duncan and Parker will be a given and Neal should be the star off the bench as the Miami Heat probably key on stopping Green. For Miami, they will have to once again making a living at the free-throw line, especially on the road. A ton of things even out here in the third game, as much as the Spurs are the right choice, this is the game Miami will win in a squeaker. The reason is quite easy… San Antonio can’t continue to triple team Lebron James and expect Bosh, Wade, the Birdman, Chalmers, Cole, Miller and Allen to do nothing. Simple Formula for the Miami Heat in Game 2: Less 3-Point Shots and Drive to the Hoop, Get the Foul for a 3-Point Play

With the Miami Heat's last two playoff series the end result, whether win or loss, has been due to winning either the third or fourth quarters. In Game One, Miami dominated the first, second and third quarters, only to be blown out in the fourth quarter and lose the game by four-points 92-88. As predicted, the Miami Heat dominated the game with their speed and talent, but by not equaling or beating the San Antonio Spurs in just one quarter resulted in a Game One loss they should have won. It seems such an easy formula. Win your quarters and win the games... But, the Miami Heat and most notably, LeBron James, did not have the urgency in the fourth quarter of Game One, except settling for low percentage three pointers by James, and especially the open three point shot from Key West that Chris Bosh launched from 150 miles away during the fourth quarter come back. The Miami Heat have gotten this far, this season, by driving to the rim with a high percentage shot and possible foul by drawing contact, get a free-throw shot and earn a chance for a high-percentage three-point play. I think Game Two will be slowed down to a halt, much more of a physicial match, with both teams trying to earn numerous trips to the free-throw line. If not, due to San Antonio's circus shots and the play of Tim Duncan, the Miami Heat will not be able to beat those Spurs in quarter play. Prediction: Speed and bench play motor Miami Heat past San Antonio Spurs in 2013 NBA Finals Game One

Miami Heat One, San Antonio Spurs Zero… National Basketball Association score predicting is about as easy as winning the lottery but someone has to win with the correct combination. One thing that is not so tough to prove is momentum and right now the 2012-2013 current lineup of the Miami Heat has a full ahead of steam. Some of the San Antonio Spurs will have problems keeping up with the speed of the Miami Heat at times tonight in Game One. Not Tony Parker or Tim Duncan, or even Manu Ginobli for that matter, but the bench is where Game One will be won. The speed of players like Norris Cole and Udonis Haslem, versus Haslem’s counterpart Chris Bonner and other SA benchers like Neal, Leonard, Mills and Joseph, is where this prediction builds from guess to certainty. Miami’s Ray Allen’s speed up and down the court is deceiving and the Birdman seems to sprint from offense to defense and back again, not to mention Mr. Mike Miller who brought some energy in a short sprint last series against Indiana. Speaking of Indiana, Miami is lucky to make it out of that series without any injuries. It feels like Jr.'s time to shine

After last night's fireworks at Texas Motor Speedway, which proved why Nascar will continue to demand primetime coverage,it's only fitting that tonight features one of the most dominant racing fields of the year. Brad Keselowski and Joey Logano had issues getting through inspection, I think it will affect Keselowski but Logano's skin's so thick not even a tack in the heel could affect Nascar's youngest winner. Though, tonight feels like Dale Earnhardt Jr.'s night. He seems to be living in a comfortable place and only needs one win to cement himself as not only Nascar's most famous driver, but also back-up on the ladder steps to being the best. Nascar Nationwide All-Time Wins Leader Kyle Busch twirling pasta at O'Reilly Auto Parts 300 at Texas Motor Speedway

Nascar Nationwide superstar Kyle Busch twirls his Shrimp Scampi pasta noodles on his fork just minutes before the start of the O'Reilly Auto Parts 300 race tonight at Texas Motor Speedway. Busch starts in the front row once again, which is commonplace for the Nascar's All-Time Nationwide Wins leader. Sounds like he's getting the fuel needed to notch yet another win in a race stocked with star-power. Tonight, Busch will be joined by a long list of Nationwide and Sprint Cup superstars. Busch's past nemesis Brad Keselowski is a favorite and Brian Vickers is making a nice comeback after missing last year with health concerns. Fan favorite Dale earnhardt Jr. will be revving the engine with a rare Nationwide appearance. The Year of the Cardinal

Will the emotional toll of losing a key player to a gruesome injury on national TV and the every night grind of a multi-game win streak be too much for the Louisville Cardinals in the NCAA Men’s Division I Championship Game? Definitely not… At least not during regulation… The Michigan Wolverines will be very competitive in the Championship Game, every time Louisville stretches out to a six to eight-point lead Michigan will fire back and at the end of regulation to tie the basketball game. The game will feature some of the best backcourt play seen this decade. Somehow, Michigan is a four-point underdog. I think some way Louisville pulls this one out 78-77 in the first overtime. The toll will punch at Louisville’s grit and their veterans will strike back, Michigan is just a bit young and a tad out of control at key times. I really feel Michigan, but the facts don’t lie and even though I believe Louisville is spent I think they have just enough in the tank to get the job done. Having a veteran coach like Rick Pitino doesn’t hurt either… Michigan will be back next year. This is the year of the Cardinal.

FAU Baseball should be focus of university's new public relations engine

Florida Atlantic University administrators emphasize that the college needs some timely and beneficial public relations help to soften the blow of two major scandals. The success of the FAU Baseball program should be where the leadership team should pitch. Almost yearly, the FAU Baseball Program prints its tickets to the Sun-Belt Conference Baseball Championship and the College World Series. FAU public perception is sandwiched in the shadow of a lucrative football stadium deal slammed shut up by student protesters and a teacher against student disagreement over being asked to stomp the word “Jesus” on a piece of paper. Now is the time to play ball with the public relations machine focused on FAU Baseball’s gem of a coach Kevin McCormack and a team that’s far better than the two professional baseball programs that South Florida fans care about: the New York Yankees and Miami Marlins who’s combined record as of today is just two wins verses eight losses. FAU Baseball has won 21 against 10 losses so far this season and ranked no. 25 nationally. FAU Baseball is competitive every year and they just don’t get the headlines. They should… FAU Baseball comes back to Boca Raton April 12 to April 14 with a three-game series against Middle Tennessee State University.
